Sikh Women Association of Montreal
We believe woman is the backbone of the family and influences community through her various roles such as mother, sister, wife and daughter therefore, empowered women contribute to make great communities.
We are a non-profit association and our mission is to promote awareness related to health, social, cultural, literary and religious matters in order to empower Sikh women so that they can play an integral role in all community affairs aimed to build a stronger family and community.
We are progressive and committed Sikh women who take their inspiration from Guru Granth Sahib to bring a social change and awareness through religious, social and cultural programs, seminars, conferences, workshops, discussion groups, lectures and recreational activities, throughout the year for women of all ages.
We are dedicated to take action for any good cause such as to save environment, help seniors and mentor youth. Our major priority is to preserve Punjabi language and culture. We celebrate our festivals and get together regularly to form strong friendship bonds to depend on each other during any physical, emotional or family crisis.
